I'm just trying to figure this out, not trying to cause a stink.

What is the additional money going towards... prizefund, lineage, expenses?

Heather, the increase of $30 raises the lineage $15 and raises the prize fund $15 from the previous $160 entry fee for all non-singles tournaments.

If the prize fund is getting an extra $15, how come first and second still pay the same?

The non-singles tourney prize funds were increased $15 so that they could be self-supporting and not have to be subsidized by the general fund. This is a non-singles tourney. So far this year, we haven't had to add in much money from the general fund to make the prize list look good.

If you are referring to 1st and 2nd paying the same in a regular singles format, the increase to $180 in the regular singles tournaments only increased the prize fund portion in those by $5. That money is used to bring the bottom checks up to at least $180...as opposed to the bottom checks being $160 like before.

I know it is confusing, but this year, we shouldn't be so low on funds that we won't have extra money to add to the Annual Team Tourney as we traditionally have in the past...with the exception of last year. This is primarily due to the increased entry fees.
